The outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) may be stressful for all of us. Staying at home is one of the ways to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Some of us are suffering from mental health due to this outbreak. So, here are some ways to cope with stress.

Take a break

Take a break from watching and listening to the news. Watching and listening all the time about the outbreak will lead you to increase your stress level and it will affect your mental health

Exercise together with your family or loved ones

Don’t just lay on your bed the entire day. Get up and do exercise!

There are plenty of exercise videos on youtube. Take note! You only need a pair of shoes and an outfit for these exercises, no need for workout equipment.

Eat healthy foods

You have plenty of time to make healthy foods for you and for your entire family. Stay healthy together.

Sleep better

Lack of sleep will drag down your energy level, get easily irritated, and also can increase your stress level. Practice yourself to get a decent sleep of 7-8 hours daily, this way it can help improve your mental health.

Stay connected

Stay connected with your family, friends, and co-workers. If you need someone to talk to, don’t hesitate to contact them and start sharing your feelings.

Divert yourself

Distract yourself to lessen your stress, anxiety, and worry.

Cooking and Baking - Get your phone and search for “Baking Tutorials”. There’s a bunch of youtube tutorials that you can watch and try.

Cleaning the house - This time we have more time to spend cleaning the house, not just on weekends. So, grab your broom, and start decluttering unnecessary things, clean every part of your house, and arrange all messy things like books and don’t forget to wash your bedsheets, blankets, and pillowcase.
