First of all, Happy New Year everyone! With the new year also comes our new year’s resolutions and one of the most common of it all is to be productive. Some of us thought being productive would be easy peasy but being stuck at home for almost a year has taught us otherwise. People who work remotely also have a difficult time staying on track sometimes, so here are some tips to be more productive in 2021:
Track your time
Break down your work into manageable tasks. This helps you create a habit of predicting how long it takes for you to finish a task and then you can plan your week accordingly.
Take breaks
We’re only human and our brains can only handle so much information before we begin to burnout. Don’t be so hard on yourself and take that much needed break to avoid greater stress in the future.
Lessen your screen time
The Internet. A blessing and a curse, really. Yes, we rely on the web for our news, emails, entertainment, etc. but it also leads to distractions and procrastination. Put your phone aside or have a specific time for social media and *~TikTok~*
Exercise
Some of us may not be the exercising type but you gotta admit that this is just as important than the others. Exercising at least 15 minutes a day can help our brain perform at a better capacity and endorphins released also make for a healthy body and mindset.
Let go
We all experience failure and looking back on our mistakes we wish we could have done things differently. Use this kind of thinking when setting new goals but don’t dwell on the past too much. Instead, focus on what you’re going to do next to avoid history repeating itself.
Hope these tips will help you jump start your goals for this year and the goals that were put on pause in 2020! Got more tips? I'd love to hear it!
